People may be interested to know that the Irish red setter dogs (
especially the Windhoven? strain) get a gluten sensitive enteropathy. It
is likely a little different from human disease.  One monkey was
described who developed the classic symptoms of CD and got better on a
gluten free diet.   It probably preferred bananas anyway
