Three advanced degree vegan nutritionalists in Washington D.C. told me that
they had yet to find a veggie burger which doesn't contain gluten and is
free of eggs and dairy. Since I feel that this food selection is essential
to my having a healthy vegan diet,(no meat, eggs or dairy), I asked the
list serve membership whether any of you have found a "triple threat" veggie
burger without gluten, dairy or eggs. I was delighted with the rapid and
helpful suggestions I received.

I tried to check out the responsed and got the following results (listed by
catagory).

Gluten, Dairy and Egg -Free Veggie Burgers

1. Sunrich Hearty& Natural Veggies and Grain
2. " " " " Wild Mushoom
3. Authentic Foods Falafel Mix
4. For those of you in the New England area, Tom from Massachusetts
states that Star Market sells a brand called Certified Organic Veggie
Burgers "which are free of everything". (I couldn't check this out but
if you have access to Star Market, it sounds like it is worth investigating).

5. Lynne from Illinois suggested Nature's Bakery Vegetarian Burgers which
are made in Madison, Wisconsin. (Tel. (608) 257-3649.
The ingredients she listed were GF, DF, and EF.

Gluten and Dairy-Free Veggie Burgers

1. Sunrich Heary and Natural Mexican Red Bean
2. " " " " Veggie Burger Patties
3. " " " " Veggie Chic-N
4. " " " " Edamame & Sweet Beans
5. Franklin Farms Veggie Burgers
6. Two correspondents suggested Whole Foods/ Fresh Fields' 365 brand vegan
burgers. I'm not sure if they contain eggs.
7. Organic Foods (my computer couldn't link with www.omega.foods.net
<http://www.omega.foods.net> ).

Note: One source wrote that Boca Burgers are GF, but its ingredients list
showed wheat gluten.

I hope the above lists will help add a new and healthful variation to your
diets. Of course, you should verify my findiings to insure their accuracy.

Best wishes, Bob
