Greetings to everyone! For any of you that may not receive Parents
Magazine, I wanted to let all of you know there is a 3 page
article(pg.83) on Celiac Disease in the February issue. It’s an article
that discusses a family of 6 where 3 of them have the illness. (mother,
son and son). Mother had a history of stomach ailments growing up,
youngest son experienced non-classic symptoms as early as 9 months
(diagnosed at 2 ½ as a result) and second son was asymptomatic of
classic symptoms. Dr. Greene is quoted in the article and it references
several of the national organizations that are available. If you have
been dealing with this disease for any length of time it’s not a real
informative article (my opinion) but if you’re new to this and possibly
still waiting for diagnosis it does give useful information.
Nice to know the word is getting out there!
