Here is a response I received from Bob Evans regarding their sausage products and other retail items. Due to the crosscontamination issue I will not be offering their products to my celiac kids.

Thank you for your recent request concerning Bob Evans products sold in
grocery stores. Our sausage products do not have any ingredients that
contain gluten. Spices in our sausage products include black pepper and
sage. For other retail items, all ingredients are listed on the labels.

Bob Evans and its suppliers realize sensitivity to glutens varies from
person to person, therefore, a claim of gluten free cannot be made. This
is because an ingredient may be cross-contaminated from a gluten containing
item during the manufacturing process.

If you have further questions, please feel free to contact Tim Lawlis,
Director of Technical Services.
