I asked how to make corn tortillas :

You have to use masa (corn flour) to make tortillas. Most major
grocery stores sell masa in the flour and baking goods section; and
masa is very different from corn meal. There should be a recipe
right on the side or back of the package for making tortillas. I
will say that it's a WHOLE lot easier to make them if you can find a
tortilla press -- usually quite inexpensive.

Unfortunately we live in New Zealand . Masa flour is only available at specialty shops and is very expensive.
Someone gave me some links below. One included a recipe for using plain corn meal, which I tried , but I was not very happy with the result :-/

Here are recipes. You have to log in, but it is free. There are thousands of GF recipes in this site, and many other invaluable information.

A couple of people emailed me who also had children eating GF who were new to the GF journey:

Here is our breakfast pancake recipe if you are interested.

1 1/2 Cups of cornmeal
or 1 1/2 cups of buckwheat flour
or 1 C of corn meal + 1/2 rice flour
or other GF flour
soaked overnight in 1 cup of water and 2 Tbsp of whey
or soaked in 1C of yoghurt
or 1C of water and 2 Tbsp of lemon juice
(we have these everyday so each breakfast I put the next lot on to soak)
Soaking improves the digestibility of the grains and it makes the pancakes softer

2 mashed bananas (over ripe ones are better )
3 eggs
1/2 tsp baking soda

mix altogether and fry a in large spoonful , I do about 3 at once in a pan which is not too hot, otherwise they burn before the middle is cooked . They freeze OK too.
