Hi:

I inquired about granola bar recipes and where to find GF ice cream
cones at a decent price. I got a couple recipes for granola bars which I
will put in a separate email. Summary below.

Thanks for all the help!

Shelly

in the very orthodox Jewish sections of NYC they have GF cones (they
call GF Non Gebrokts) for Passover. Maybe if there's one of these
religious Jewish areas near you,you can check with a store if there is
any availability at other times of year.

Maybe you could make them with a rice crispy square recipe. Make up the
marshmallow and cereal mixture and press them into muffin tins. Haven't
tried it, but have thought about doing it.

I do know that Gluten Free Pantry has regular Ice cream cones & they are
reported to be very good. The owner of the GF Pantry has celiac & has a
son with celiac, so her company is very good about sourcing such things.
I really think it is the best GF Co. I have found.

you can get the Barkat cake cones from Miss Roben's-pkg of 24 for $6.99.
Beware-the packaging is terrible and there will be many broken. I
called to complain and they sent me replacement packages for free. So,
I got 4 packages for the price of 2. But that doesn't take care of the
breakage/packaging problem. Poor packaging is an issue with other
products, as well.

Gluten Free Pantry and a few other companies carry Cerrone GF ice cream
cones. They are $6.79 for eight.

HOW ABOUT ICE-CREAM SANDWICHES WON'T SHE GO FOR THESE OR

>MAKE A WAFFLE IN THE WAFFLE IRON FILL IT WITH ICE CREAM AND ROLL IT

>THERE IS A CONE MAKER BUT IT REALLY DOESN'T WORK VERY WELL.

There are granola bar recipes at this site:

Check the recipe folder.

Gluten Free Pantry and The Gluten Free Trading Company both carry gf
cones. You get more for less money than the ones you mentioned.

Ener-G carries a great granola cereal that could easily be made into a
granola bar. I would just add honey and bake, cool and cut into bars.
Ener-G also sells an already made granola bar.

Miss Roben's [ <outbind://5/www.missroben.com> www.missroben.com]
carries two kinds of ice cream cones:

Barkat Ice Cream Cones, from Glutano. 6.99 for 24 cones

Cerrone Ice Cream and Waffle Cones-Sugar Cones 6.79 for 8 cones

For Ice Cream cones, I got a Pizzelle maker. Pizelles are the Italian
wafer cookies. My daughter wraps them around cream puff cones,. those

metal cones. I got both items at a discount kitchenware store. I make
the Pizzelles with rice flour as the eggs hold them together. This makes
very small ice cream cones,
