Question... I've begun art classes in pastel "painting"...and love it. I'm careful to wash my hands frequently, because, at best, even though the boxes say non-toxic, I wouldn't want to eat the stuff. But, I'm wondering if there are any artists out there in our listserv who have any knowledge about whether the stuff is gluten-free? (I'm totally not worried about absorption through the skin, so that's not an issue.)

I'm not addressing the issue for little kids with celiac. Kids have more of a tendency to put their hands in their mouths.

Some of the companies are overseas. I haven't had the chance to write to them yet.

Thanks, Lin
