Recent postings by Susan Carmack (susan @ VVIC.ORG) and Bill Elkus
([log in to unmask]) have prompted me to ask how many of us have
both Diabetes and Celiac Disease? I presume it will be a reasonably
small number using Bill's number of 10% of people type I diabetes
     (insulin dependant) have CD.

I have recently been diagnosed with both diseases (CD 2 years ago, DM
last month) and would very much like to hear from others in the same
predicament. What are the unique issues and situations I should
anticipate and prepare for? How do you cope? I think the GF diet is
a much greater challenge than Carb Counting -- Do you agree?

I look forward to hearing from you.

     Cathy in CT.

PS -- Does anyone know of a CT Celiac support group. I'm in Fairfield
County so I could participate with a NY (Westchester County) if I
     can't find anything in CT.

     Thanks, Cathy
