Bellingham, WA Gluten Intolerance Group (BGIG) 2007/2008 Calendar
 
Location - Unless noted all evening meetings take place the first Tuesday  of 
the month from September through May, from 7-9 p.m. excluding January  at
St. Luke?s Community Health Education Center
3333 Squalicum Pkwy.  Bellingham, WA
 
Informal BGIG Coffee Meetings take place on the 3rd Wednesday of the month  
from 9:30-11 a.m. at Bellingham Public Market, corner of Cornwall & York,  
Bellingham 
 
GF Kids group - R.O.C.K., contact Dr. Jean Layton 360-752-2510 for  
information.
 
2007
September 4, 7-9 p.m. - St. Luke?s Community Health Ed.  Ctr
Annual Business Meeting
Reports from all committees, update on 2006  Community Awareness Event, 
report from GIG and other GF awareness from a  national level, selection of team 
leaders, etc. Support meeting to follow. 
 
October 2, 7-9 p.m.
Guest Speaker - To be announced
 
October 22, 6:30-9 p.m. - Sehome HS
Whatcom Community College (WCC) GF  Cooking Class - Food for Thought.
WCC is now offering continuing education  classes with a new twist - your 
health in mind. Join BGIG in welcoming this  great new opportunity to learn some 
new cooking techniques AND encourage your  friends and neighbors to discover 
the wonderful world of gluten free.
 
November 3, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Ferndale Senior Center
2007  COMMUNITY AWARENESS EVENT - A great day of learning, sharing, and 
manufacturer?s  samples, silent auction, book and bake sale, GF refreshments and 
great  information. Presentation information to be announced.
 
December 4, 7-9 p.m.
GF COOKIE EXCHANGE/HOLIDAY PARTY
This is a  really fun event. Bring 2 dozen of your favorite holiday cookies 
and the recipe  or list of ingredients. Take home a HUGE plate of treats to 
enjoy all month!  This event has all the elements you are looking for in a gluten 
free gathering -  friends & GF - Great Food!

April 1, 6:30-9 p.m. - Ferndale High School Home Ec. Room
Member Cooking  Demonstration
Only a FOOL would miss this meeting! - We invite you to join us  as one of 
our own members takes mixer in hand to help us unravel some of the  mysteries of 
GF cooking. Good food, great ideas and informative. This is also  only one of 
two times during the year you can buy GF cookbooks at cost! (member  only 
benefit).
 
May 6, 7 p.m. until we are done!
5th Annual Gluten Free Dinner
Who  knows where we will dine this year, but rest assured it will be a 
delightful  evening out, featuring Gluten Free food, good fellowship & fun. You MUST 
 make reservations to attend this event, building/seating is always  limited!
 
June 14, approx. 10 a.m. - Whatcom County Volunteer Center
HUMAN RACE,  Bellingham, WA
BGIG is putting together a team to walk together on this fun  5K race 
starting at Maritime Park. This is an annual fundraiser for your local  BGIG group - 
Get a few sponsors or sponsor yourself! Fun day.
 
GIG - June 6-8 - Annual Education Conference, Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX
