Blue Bell Ice Cream was originally made in Texas; there are two other
facilities.  I understand they make their "white" ice creams in the morning;
then add bakery items in the middle of the day. By the time they get to the
chocolate flavors, there are trace amounts of gluten from the last stage.
Usually they so mark the cartons. At the end of the day, they clean
thoroughly all the machines. They always have been very good about
investigating outside suppliers, ingredients and flavorings and
communicating that information. Blue Bell Creameries have a web site at
www.bluebell.com . I have no interest in this company, but I like their ice
creams.
