That reminds me of a pricier but more versatile option for milling grains
- a Vita-Mix (www.vita-mix.com). I don't see anything in my Vita-Mix
recipe book pro or con grinding tapioca granules, but if it doesn't work
at least it's very easy to clean!

The Vita-Mix definitely grinds all the usual grains and beans, though. It
also makes great peanut butter, cashew butter, any kind of nut or seed
butter (although some require addition of some extra oil). Also makes
great soup from veggies (run it a few minutes and you have hot soup),
fruit smoothies and juice (with all the fiber in it, you just cut up the
fruit as you would to eat it) and pudding and soft-serve ice cream and
sauces and chops up or shreds raw veggies (dry or wet) and chocolate and
chops nuts and and shreds cheese it even kneads wheat bread....

The Vita-Mix works by high-velocity impact rather than shearing with a
sharp blade, so the blades are relatively blunt and easy to clean around
as a result (no bleeding...). Cleanup really does take very little time
-- just swishing hot water around in it is enough for juice cleanup and
similar items, otherwise just put a little soapy water in it and let it
run a few minutes, then rinse. I never had the patience for a regular
juicer with all that stuff to clean up.

It's more expensive than the mills mentioned, but it's more versatile so
if anybody is looking for an all-purpose gadget that doesn't take up much
room this might be worth checking into.
