Hello all,

Thanks for the preliminary answers some have sent to my question. I'm
sorry I did not explain well...

Some (very few) Celiacs like me get the REFRACTIVE type. The symptoms
don't go away by just following the diet.

Prednisone is used to supress the immune system, which should allow for
the villi to grow back and stay there. After some time tapering down the
dose, some celiacs can stop taking prednisone. Some cannot, the problems
come back. I don't know for sure, but I might have to stay with it.

So this is why I must take it. I want to know if there is something else
that doesn't cause all these other problems (bone loss, diabetes,
catarats). I know that these don't ALWAYS appear on the people that take
prednisone, but I think my concern is understandable, now that I know
that I have osteoporosis.

Thanks to all
