My original post was:

Hi Listmates, Can anyone tell me if Lovastatin is gluten free? My docto=
r has just=20
prescribed it and I can't find it on the gluten free drug list. Maybe so=
me of you out there=20
have a better source than I do for checking on meds.=20

Thanks.
Susan

I received several responses, one thinking I couldn't read and another thinking I didn't
know how to do a Google search.

There were two very kind and informative responses. One person has taken Lovastatin
for a year and knows it is gluten free. The other is from a major university and informed
me that Lovastatin is a generic and Mevacor is the brand name. I immediately found that
on the gluten free drug list and read about it and its side effects on the Merck site.

Thank you to all who helped.
Susan
