* **Asafoetida** is a crushed plant resin used in Indian cooking, and
according to what I have read on the internet it is processed with rice
flour and gum arabic. But, I have also read rumors that it is sometimes
contaminated with gluten. Has anyone verified this, or is it a rumor?

If anyone has a source for gluten free asafoetida, that would be very
helpful, also.

I will summarize.
