#My thoughts have been on an "open letter" from the list explaning
#celiac and some of the issues and information many of us have
#learned here.

This sounds like a good idea - but what about an "information card"
rather than a letter. It may be accepted alot easier. I personally
would prefer to be given this rather than a letter, by a
friend/family member.

#Is there someone more eloquent with words and more tactful
#than I who would like to help write such a letter?

As an aside to this, can anyone mail me an example of a "restaurant
card" - ie a card with a simple explanation of forbiddens, and do
nots, which can be handed to restaurant staff explaining what we
can/cannot eat etc. Maybe my choice of vocabulary is confusing to
others but I never seem to get my point across when I try to
explain. Maybe I'm just not assertive enough, maybe I look too
gorgeous and/or innocent? (Maybe I'm too modest!)
Whatever the reason, I'm sick of hearing that I should "taste it!"
when I query whether a particular item is GF or not.
