One thing that I have found that greatly reduces the time it takes to
recover from exposures to grains is "deer velvet" (which is, most
unfortunately, unavailable in the US as far as I know ((if anyone knows
otherwise ****PLEASE**** tell me!). Deer velvet is the fastest
growing skin tissue known in mammals. Presumably (when properly harvested
and processed!) it contains enzymes and other growth factors to enable this
rapid growth. It has been shown by research to have factors that
promote angiogenisis (and has been used in heart surgery for this purpose)
so, although there is no reason to think it would help clear out arteries
it does help colatteral circulation to develop. (It might be inadvisable
to use if cancer was known or suspected to be present as rapid angiogenisis
might speed the development of some neoplasms (although there is recent
evidence to show that the opposite might be the case.)

While I was living in New Zealand, where it was readily available, I used
deer velvet regularly with great success. But it should be noted that it
comes from male deer during or just prior to their active breeding season
and so could contain active male hormones that might or might not affect
humans - so women might want to use it with caution!.
