There's a useful article from Medscape Gastroenterology 1 April called

GLUTEN IN PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS
Pharmacists dealing with celiac disease patients need a reliable means
of identifying the gluten content of pharmaceutical products.
Am J Health-Syst Pharm 58(05):396-401, 2001

It sems to confirm the problem most coeliacs are already only too well
aware of. I and my pharmacist spend a lot of time and money phoning
drug companies to check on inactive ingredients. Here in the UK it is
even harder to look this information up as there seem to be no on-line
registers either.
