Hi all

Thanks so much for all your advice in trying to help my niece re: swollen
tongue itchy gums and roof of mouth ,spots on back of tongue which hurts and
she tested positive for gasricantibodies. To summarize many suggested she see a
good allergist which she has done. Other suggestions were:

Candidiasis caused by fungal infection
Geographic Tongue syndrome
Aphthous ulcer - benign spots on tongue surface, sore spots on oral mucous
membrane often caused by CD and malnutrition
Canker sores - until going on GF diet
Crohn's Disease
Food allergies same symptoms as CD airway could become swollen unable to eat
Thrush(oral mouth yeast infection) common in diabetics can take Mycolex for
3-4 weeks
Blisters- could respond well to GF diet but not test positive for CD
One person accidentally injested gluten and got the same symptoms and 2 hours
later got typical gluten reactions
One person suggested a web site
http:health.allrefer.com/health/geographic-tongue.info.html

So thanks again for everyone's help

Sandy in NJ
