Is it possible to have a normal tTG and an abnormal biopsy?

My son's tTG was very high but mine came back normal.  I have many of the same symptoms he has though.  Should I request a biopsy to completely rule out Celiac or is a negative Transglutaminase antibody test enough?  It is possible he may have got this from his father, but considering I have another autoimmune disease and symptoms of Celiac I was really surprised at my test results.
