The Massachusetts and Rhode Island Celiac Support Group for Children is
very pleased to report that due to the overwhelming response, we have
set aside additional space at Camp Celiac 2000, the first east coast
gluten-free camp for children with Celiac Sprue. Registrations are now
being accepted and the deadline has been extended to May 7, 2000. Camp
Celiac will run July 21-23 at Camp Aldersgate, N. Scituate, RI and is
open to children age 5-18. Currently we have 43 children and 17 staff
members attending from eight states. The children are a diverse group
ranging in age from five years old to eighteen. Many exciting
activities are planned and we will be serving delicious gluten-free
meals, snacks and even S'Mores by the camp fire! We will be canoeing,
row boating, swimming, nature walks, outdoor adventure courses, field
events and much more. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to
go to sleepover camp with fellow celiac children! Now that we have
accomodated those on our waiting list, we have approximately fourteen
beds available. For information, contact Tanis Collard, President at
