Hi All,
Many of us are aware that there is a type of epilepsy involving cerebral
calcifications that is often associated celiac disease. What surprised me
about an article I came upon today is that celiac disease seems to be
overrepresented in a variety of types of epilepsy. Of 177 epilepsy patients
with various forms of epilepsy, four celiacs were discovered. That gave an
incidence of 1 in 44. In the control group at the same hospital, they found
1 celiac per 244 patients. Celiac disease appears to be over- represented
among those with epilepsy.

best wishes,
Ron Hoggan
