Thanks so much for all the responses. I got a wide variety of suggestions.

A. Go gluten free despite the test results.
B. Don't go gluten free until after the biopsy.
C. Only go gluten free if the blood results are positive.
D. Have the biopsy regardless of the results of the blood work.

I got a lot of great suggestions for resources on what fast foods are gluten
free. I also went to Trader Joey's and got their list of gluten free foods
in their store.

I also called the lab and found out that my son's blood test were back. I
called the doctor and she will be out of town until the middle of June. So
I went and picked them up.

And of course I am frustrated!!! I researched what labs were reliable and
then called the lab here and those until I found one of the reliable ones
that had a contract with LabCorp (the lab here) I spoke directly to the
people at LabCorp and wrote a letter requesting Specialty do the test. I
live in Reno, NV and Specialty is in California but they sent the blood work
to the LabCorp in North Carolina! It is so maddening. Anyway I have no
idea what these results mean and the doctor won't be back for awhile. And
of course now I wonder if they are accurate. :*(

I know you guys are not doctors but if anyone could help me I'd appreciate
it. The results say:

Antigliadin Abs, IgA Negative

Antigliadin Abs, IGG (H) 26 Units Neg:<20
                                                Negative <20
                                                Weak Positive 20-30
                                                Mod to High Positive >30

Simultaneous testing of patient
sera for anti-gliadin IgA and IgG
antibodies is widely used for the
diagnosis of Celiac disease. IgG
antibodies are sensitive but not
pathognomic and IgA antibodies are
more specific but less sensitive.

Endomysial AB IgA Negative Titer Neg:<1:10

The specificity of endomysial
IgA antibodies for active
celiac disease is reported to
be 99.7-100% and 70% for
Dermatitis herpetiformis.

Reticulin IgA AB Negative Titer Neg:<1:10

IgA class reticulin antibodies
are specific for celiac disease
and occur in 60% of patients
with active disease. R-1 staining

 patterns is the only
pattern with clinical associations;
only R-1 patterns are reported.

Reticulin IgG AB Negative Titer Neg:<1:10

IgG class reticulin antibodies
are not specific for celiac
disease and occur in 20% of
patients with active disease.

R-1 Staining Patterns is the
only pattern with clinical
associations; only R-1
patterns are reported.

So can anyone tell me what they think. Of course I will talk this over with
our doctor in mid-June but I hate to wait that long.

Thanks so much for all the support I have received.

Susan
