Hi everyone,

I've been reading the listserve for awhile now and have come across many statements regarding celiacs increased chances of intestinal cancer(i.e. colon or other) if they consume gluten. My reactions to gluten are typically not very strong unless I eat a large amount of it, and as a result I "cheat" about once a month. Are my chances of getting cancer increased every time I consume gluten, or only when I have a reaction? Is there enough proof out there that I should be concerned about this? If anyone has actual scientific articles or links to information specifically on this, I would be very interested in seeing them. I know what the general concensus is, so there is so need to chastise me about the cheating - I would just like some actual scientific proof (its probably the only thing that will convince me to stop cheating).

Thanks for you help,
Shannon (in Ottawa, Ontario)
