Dear Listmates: We are making progress. Just got off the phone with the
Pillsbury Company (1-800-325-7130). A very nice customer service rep assured
me that the company takes our need for information very seriously and
considers gluten as one of the top 17 allergies. She told me that any
ingredient with gluten , such as vinegar, spices, natural ingredients, etc.,
which is derived from or contains gluten will be listed as wheat, barley, rye,
etc. on the label. She also said that any product from their company would
have Pillsbury somewhere on the label so that we would know that even if it
has a different brand name, such as B&M, we can identify it as a Pillsbury
product. Please always read ingredient label and verify this information with
Pillsbury for yourself. It made my day to find a company so concerned about
our needs.

Also checked out Fresh Fields Market today. They have some gluten free
products and are much less expensive than health food store. If you have one
in your area and haven't shopped there-give it a try. They told me they will
be getting a wider variety of gluten free prducts in the future.

Have a happy day. Olivia in VA
