I've been on a gluten-free diet for about three months and now am about to go for the celiac panel bloodwork.

(I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis about ten years ago and am trying the gluten-free diet with the hope that it makes a difference.)

My question is: I think I need to go back to eating gluten for 4-6 weeks before the bloodwork. My doctor's nurse, and she checked with the lab, say I don't. I've been reading that it's standard to go back on a gluten diet before any celiac tests. Thoughts?

I'll summarize responses.

Thanks!
