Hi to all,

I understand (and appreciate so much) that M and M's are gluten free. This
does not extend to the Canadian and English equivalent "Smartees". Beware as
they contain wheat flour and it is stated on the label. I almost ate them
because I looked at them and said to myself, "mmmmm M and M's", but then
looked at the tube they came in just before eating. Good thing too!

Be careful with those seasoned rice dishes too. Lots of us rely on rice as a
staple food, but Uncle Ben's just released a new product: Garlic and Butter
Rice and my friend served it to me saying "I know you can have rice". I
asked to see the package and it stated right on there "Wheat Gluten". Boy,
did it smell good! I ended up with a salad.

I can't emphasize reading labels enough. Sometimes we get slopping because
we get complacent and then gluten slips in and we can't guess how. I caught
a number of no-no's recently just by glancing briefly at a label.

Stay healthy and enjoy the beautiful season.

Love and peace always,

Libby
