Dear Listmates,

Can anyone in Vancouver BC, Canada recommend a good physician to deal with a difficult case of drug malabsorption which is probably due to being a celiac? I posted recently on having significant (laboratory tested and established) malabsorption of some oral drugs (aceteminophen, codeine) and want to follow this up, hopefully with a physician who could look into why the malaborption is happening. I believe it is due to damaged gut villi as my B12, iron and folate were also low at time of testing. I am scheduled for a biopsy in two weeks but am not sure that this will be sufficient to solve the question of why the drug malabsorption happens. If anyone has suggestions as to a physician to consult that would be much appreciated, as I am not even sure which specialty would deal with such a problem.

Thanks,
Lisa
