Kim Miller at Burger King has provided me with the definitive list of
the markets in which BK is testing their the new fries, which contain
gluten as an added ingredient. She promised to keep us informed on
any changes (but please don't count on this). The test will last up
to four months, and then they will decide whether to roll out the new fries
nationwide.

I asked Kim whether BK might consider the views of celiacs on whether
the new fries will result in a significant loss of customers. She
said they are very sensitive to customer views. I asked where to
send our comments, and she suggested having one person collect them
and then fax or mail all the comments to her. Randy Roberts has volunteered to
be the point person. Please email your concerns
directly to him at <[log in to unmask]> putting "Burger King"
as the subject line of the email.

Randy will wait 10 days, until March 29th, and then fax all replies
to BK. You may wish to point out that if Burger King makes this
change, they will lose your entire family's business, not just the
business of the celiac in the family.

According to Kim, these cities have the new gluten-containing fries
(A "*" means every BK in the city has the new fries, if there is no
"*" only some units have the gluten fries, and those stores will
have "new fries" signage):
