I have a friend with a ten year old boy with Down Syndrome whose favourite
food is peanut butter sandwiches (wheat bread). According to his mother, "He
has a very small bladder and no matter what we just can't stop the continous
tap flowing. He still messes himself as well... We have been to hospital, to
private specialists, special programmes at school etc, but he still does not
seem to know when he has the urge. And getting him to eat more than white
bread and peanut butter is a real misson to say the least!!"

Has anyone else had a similar problem, especially concerning the bladder,
and did a gluten-free diet solve or at least improve the situation? My
daughter with DS and CD certainly shared a similar obsession with peanut
butter sandwiches. I don't know if this boy has been tested for celiac.

Thanks for your help.
