Hi.

I'm somewhat new to this board and have a question. My 5 year-old son was
diagnosed with CD after a blood test and not having information from the
pediatrician prior to the GI appointment, we took him off all gluten for
about 2-3 weeks. He made an amazing recovery -- rapid weight gain, no
abdominal pain, considerably less distention, less irritable, happy, and
energetic. It was just amazing. After seeing the GI, we put him on gluten
powder for 4 days which resulted in a positive biopsy. Now that he's back
to GF, he just doesn't seem to be responding as well... it's been 9 days GF
now. It just seems like he was doing better by this point before. Does
anyone know if bouncing back from a gluten challenge takes more time than
going GF the first time? During the biopsy they also found "eosinophilic
esophagitis" so he has additional food allergies which need to be addressed
as well. I'm wondering if it's the gluten or possibly other things getting
in the way.

Thanks for any advice you might offer!

Dan
