IPT is Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura. This disease results
from the presence of autoantibody to pates.

Does anyone have any knowledge of a relationship between Celiac
   Disease and IPT?

A young lady called an asked for help regarding IPT. She was
diagnosed (biopsy Proven) 3 years ago. A year later another GI
convinced her that she was not a celiac. At that time she returned
to a wheat containing diet. She is now on steroids for the IPT.
(This is likely covering any celiac problems. She is going to return
   to the celiac diet.
