Hello friends,
I have to disagree with the recent post on substituting GF Host for Roman
Catholic Celiac communicants. I have done a fair amout of web research on
this, since I used to be a daily Mass attendee. The official position of
the church is that the Host must contain some amount of Gluten to be
qualified as bread, the amount of Gluten is not specified (it can be very
little...but that is too much for me). I just had correspondence with a
physician involved with the Bishops on this issue, there has been no
change. I am presently expecting more "official documents" from this
doctor, when and if the documentation arrives I will attempt to summarize
and post to the list.
Peace
