You could almost be describing my son! Tom's 13 now, has
been on meds for ADHD since he was 6. He had a "wheat
allergy" which he "outgrew" when he was about 3. When
you said "elephant poops," I nearly fell off my chair.
I couldn't believe such large poops could come out of
such a small boy! He has also had some pretty bad tummy
aches, once when we ended up in emergency because he was
so doubled up in pain.

Tom's not on a GF diet and has not been diagnosed
with celiac. I bet he has it though. Unless he
starts having symptoms, I doubt we can make him
adhere to a GF diet. Pizza is one of his 2 major
food groups.

Good luck with your little guys. I sure can't explain
the relationship between ritalin and the constipation,
though. Tom's never taken a "vacation" from the meds
although his MD is suggesting it. The thought of it really
scares me!

Julie
