I had a molar extracted this morning because of a huge hole below the
gum line. This hole resulted from something called external
resorption which is apparently an auto immune response -- your tooth
does this to itself. The dentists did not know if this auto immune
response had any connection with celiac disease. I know certain
dental defects in children may signify celiac disease. Has anyone
else had this problem? It would be an interesting line of inquiry.
