Vacation Bible Club was last week - games, songs, lessons, crafts, &
SNACKS. As two of our three children are GF, we had to come up with
snacks which resembled what the other kids were having.

Bette Hagman's third book has a wonderful butter cookie recipie which
makes a small, flat cookie, suitable for making into a sandwich cookie by
spreading the bottom with frosting and pressing another cookie into the
frosting sandwich style.

Pillsbury has a new line of ready to spread frostings which, from their
ingredients, appear to be GF - as usual, they will not confirm or deny
total GF status, but they do say "modified corn starch" instead of the
nebulous "modified starch." You can tell which ones are the new line, as
they say that they contain "Jello" (tm).

Our four year old GF son called them "real cookies."
