About two and a half months ago I had the autoimmune blood test and came up
positive for Gluten allergy. My symptoms which have for the most part
disappeared were diarrhea, muscle cramps, bone pain, mouth sores, fatigue, low
B-12 count, anemia, deudonetis and sudden weight loss I was leaving town and
did not have time for a biopsy. Question is: How do I know whether I was
just wheat intolerant or had celiac sprue. There is no doubt the diet worked
for me. My physician feels I have celiac sprue. Does anyone know what the
difference is? Is it too late to have a biopsy to positively identify celiac
sprue. Does it matter? I'm seeing him tomorrow but would like whatever input
I can get from the group. Thanks.
