Like so many on this list, my blood test came back negative. I have been on
the diet for the last year. Whenever I go off the diet, the nausea returns.
So finally, I decided to go ahead with the endoscopy. When I went to the
doctor for the results, he told me that based on the biopsy, he couldn't say
I had Celiac, but he also couldn't say I didn't. The villi were not
damaged, but the crypts between the villi were damaged. He said in Celiac
you would see the crypts damaged, but also the villi. It is possible I am
in the early stages of Celiac. Has anyone else had this show up on their
biopsy? Since my Mom has Celiac and I have symptoms that go away on the
diet, he is not sure. Does anyone know of anything else that could cause
the damage?
