Dear List Members:

Yesterday I completely forgot to include a toll free phone number for
ordering Carol Fenster's Special Diet Solutions cookbook from Savory
Palate, Inc. of Littleton, Colorado. Once again, this is the cookbook
designed for Celiacs with Diabetes and includes nutritional information and
food exchanges,:

 1-800-741-5418 (if outside Colorado).

Through the toll-free number, the cookbook should reach you within a week or
so, depending upon shipping schedules. You can also order through your
local bookstore. I'm ordering several more of the Special Diet Solutions
cookbook for Christmas gifts, including one for a friend who does not have
problems with wheat or gluten. This friend, however, does have to inject
insulin due to pancreatic damage and insulin resistance brought on by severe
pancreatitis. He now watches fat, refined sugar and carbohydrate intake,
and he is lactose intolerant. Because of his special dietary requirements,
even without a wheat or gluten-intolerance, I have a hunch my friend and
his wife will enjoy experimenting with Carol Fenster's cookbook.

Carol Fenster tells me she has another soon-to-be-released cookbook for
special occasions, including recipes for Halloween and birthdays. She says
the new "special occasions" cookbook does not include Thanksgiving or
Christmas since those recipes will be in yet another cookbook. Mrs.
Fenster's new cookbooks will continue to be tailored for those who must
avoid wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, yeast, refined sugar, etc. and will
include nutritional data and food exchanges.

If you call the toll free number you might even catch Carol Fenster
herself. If so, I'm sure she wouldn't hesitate at all about spending a few
minutes chatting with you and addressing any specific questions you might
have about her current cookbooks and/or her new releases. I'm sure you will
enjoy speaking with her. . She is quite interesting, and an exceptionally
warm person. She is vice-president of her local ashma and allergy support
group, she is a member of the Celiac Sprue Association/USA and the Gluten
Intolerance Group of North America and she is a former university professor
and a home economics specialist !
