Hi Fran:

After 7 years of being gluten-free Brittany and I can not tolerate even
small amounts of gluten. Usually there is an incident every couple of
years in a restaurant (claiming gf) and one bite and we are done for.
In 10 minutes I am on the throne. Brittany reacts a few hours later with
vomiting and DH.

I was diag. with a wheat, oats, rye and barley allergy before the gf
thing. So I have no desire to experiement.

Dr. A. Fasano at the Columbus, OH 10th Annual Celiac meeting did mention
that there has been some success with this, but it hasn't been in the
U.S. It is the cross-contamination thing - plus from my point of view
all these gluten containing grains are used in so many products
simutaneously - there would have to be major changes in processing here.

Pam
