*Note from Listowner Fran: We do not allow direct solicitation of products
on this support list, but this post seek's to fill a gap in what limited
products are available to those who have a medical necessity to maintain a
gluten free diet  and have diabetes.

As a mail order business (Miss Roben's) dedicated to Celiacs we constantly
strive to meet our customer needs.  Currently we are  trying to develop
gluten-free products for our diabetic celiac customers.  We don't believe
these lists should be used as solicitation and therefore typically remain a
background observer.  However, after private discussion with Fran Gillespie
(listowner) requesting her advice on what Diabetic Celiacs want, she
requested that I post my product questions directly to this list.

In order to ensure that the products we come up with meet your needs and
desires, may I ask you each the following questions andrequest you email your
responses directly to me at:

1.  What is (are) the baked products (bread, cookie, etc) you most desire?


2.  How many carbohydrates would be acceptable to you in:
    a. a slice of bread?
    b. a cookie?
    c. a slice of cake?


3.  What sweetener sources (if needed) would you prefer be used in baked
goods?


4.  What criticisms do you have of the current products available to you?

5.  Is fat and calories a big issue for you?


6.  Would mixes be acceptable to you or would they need to be ready-to-eat?

7.  Do you have any other food intolerances or food allergies?  If so, what
are they?

8.  What age group does your celiac diabetic family member fall in?
    a. infant
    b. toddler
    c. child
    d. pre-adolescent
    e. adolescent
    f. teenager
    g. young adult
    h. adult
    i. mature adult

9.  Is there anything else would you like me to know?
