Hi all.

My 18-month old son was diagnosed (by biopsy) with celiac disease two weeks ago. Prior to the biopsy the gastro doc told me I could start him on a gluten-free diet. So for three weeks preceding the biopsy I put him on what I thought was a gf diet (as I awaited the arrival of my GF Commercial Products Listing from CSA). After receiving materials from CSA, I realized that I hadn't completely taken gluten from his diet and changed his diet accordingly. As the diarrhea, massive bloating, and crabbiness continued I changed him (three days ago) to a diet of only simple foods. Fresh fruit, baked potatoes, pork, steak, ground beef, and chicken. The meats and potatoes are prepared "as is". No oil, seasonings, or anything. His symptoms persist. The diarrhea seems to be getting worse and so is his unhappy behavior.

Am I doing something wrong? Or am I not giving the diet enough time to take hold? I guess I had expected things to start turning around for him by now. If it makes any difference, his dirty diapers have undigested grapes and bananas in them with thin brown/orange liquid and a gritty, sand-like substance that is hard to get off his skin.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated.
