Please double check the statement by La Leche League that gluten can not be
passed through breastmilk.  I believe that it can.  Bill Elkus posted to the
"adult" celiac list on this issue some time ago.  If I remember correctly he
said that, although the amounts are miniscule, gluten can be passed through
breast milk.  I am a firm believer in breastfeeding, and my understanding is
that if you want the milk to be truly gf, the mother should not eat gluten.
