Hi again. I received more responses since my summary. Some of these
responses were different from the others so, being detail oriented, I
wanted to include them for the sake of being complete. However, this time
I will paraphrase and briefly comment:

Although it is great news that "autistic type" behaviors commonly resolve
as a result of going gluten-free, this does not seem to be the case for all
celiac children. Some children showed remarkable improvement and then
reached a plateau, without further improvement (after being GF for a year).
Other kids seemed to improve and then later showed some symptoms when
ingesting gluten or dairy. In these cases it could be the presence of a
disorder on the autistic spectrum in addition to CD. Another possibility
is hidden gluten. I think that the GFCFdiet page had a list of products
where cross-contamination may be an issue (sadly, frookies choc. chip
cookies and Pamela's were listed, corn pops, malt-o-meal cereals and
others) but those types of decisions are personal and I am simply reporting
what I read. As an aside, I do know that children's motrin is frequently
listed on various sites as GF and around February, that status changed. We
switched to children's advil - grape. Take care and thanks again for your
replies.
