my son, shane, is to have surgery to have his tonsils & adenoids removed on
july 5 (he will be 7 june 21).  i was discussing w/ the nurse, who schedules
the surgeries, about his special diet needs.  i mentioned the wonderful
support lists on the internet, & she suggested i post a question as to what
meds/ anesthesia to use.  we need a general anesthetic, & pain relievers.
currently, for pain, they use 2 liquids - one contains codeine, & the other
is tylenol (alternating).  i believe she sd they are alcohol free.  have any
of you been thru this?  what have you used?  he is gluten free, dairy free
(more specifically casein free), artificial colors/flavors free (especially
red & yellow).
