Well we finally got into see my 2 year olds Doctor yesterday and I told him
all of my child symptoms and that I have had him on a Gluten free diet for 3
months and he said "well it looks like he's Celiac." I then asked him what
tests need to be done and he said "none, why put him through all the testing
when you already know the problem is?"
Well I said "so we know for certain and for the tax refund you can get for
buying special foods."
Then he said "oh ok."
so he ordered us to go get this blood test:Serum antigliadin antibody.
I asked him if my child needs to be eatting wheat to have this test taken
and he didn't know. He said to call the clinic that will be taking his blood
and I did. And they didn't know. Nobody seems to know very much.
Can anyone answer my question? Does he need to have gluten in his system for
this blood test?
Thank you!
~Shannon
