China's population is 1,319,175,341 - that's 1.3 billion - it takes 1000
million to make 1 billion - a 1,000,000,000. A million looks like
1,000,000. So 5,000,000 is really not a big number -its horrific amount
of people to us - but its drop in their bucket. It takes 263.84 x 5
million to make their population - I think I am like everyone else and I
can't quite get my brain around a number that big. I am trying to
imagine by comparing it to here - Fairfax has a million, Arlington has
almost a million, PG and Montgomery counties each have a million - so
it's like wiping out the DC burbs. I sincerely hope they can handle this
- I thought most of Chins was still rural and poor.

- 5 million still a lot of people but only a wee percentage of their
population - we have but a fraction of the population of China - we have
