Thanks Betty, but I see myself as inexact, not intending to be right.
My exposition attempted to advocate another point of view.

Even were a person desiring a shift toward her perception of preferable
dynamics, the List members would likely not acquiesce.  Absent finding
common ground or compromise: affirmatively seeking an acceptable
alternative for herself seems prudent and reasonable.  That includes
leaving the List.

I did not read that Mariana wanted to leave.  I assume she left as the
alternative she saw to the status quo.  I will acknowledge her "venting"
about what she thought annoying.

It is also possible that she had other matters to attend.

You're exactly right.

A person does have the right to announce that he wants to leave because
the
dynamics of the list aren't working for him personally.  The statement
doesn't necessarily equate to a reflection of that person's desire for
those
dynamics to shift in favor of his needs at the time.

I like Mariana too, and I also admire her work.
