Minnesota Legislature should not
walk away from disability issues

Personal stories of people who are impacted by the current crisis in health
and human services


Background:
As the budget negotiations continue between House and Senate leadership,
people with disabilities don't want to be caught in the middle of a budget
tug of war. People with disabilities have several crisis issues that must
be resolved.

These issues include:

* Expanding the Senior Prescription drug program to people with disabilities

* Providing wage increases for personal care attendants and other caregivers

* Provide an inflationary income increase for people on Medical Assistance
