Oh Chester, I know it's frustrating. When I got out of the military, I got
out during the recession of the 90's and found it very hard to explain to
people why I didn't want to be a plumber/welder/ship fitter anymore. First,
look at your resume, it should be short, one page with highlights of your
accomplishments. Second, keep a curriculum vitae, that's where you put
everything, all your schooling, classes, seminars, etc, include community
affiliations all the goodies. Keep a running list of folks who can be your
references (another page). Keep copies of all this and any certificates you
have in a binder that you can take to a job interview.
Now how are you sending your resumes? Just cold? In response to ads? The
problem with ads is that many posts are already filled, the add is just a
formality. You have to get out and get to know people. Are you doing any
type of volunteer work? Have you decided what you want to do with disabled
kids? What area of the country are you in Chester, I know you've probably
have said before, and I've forgotten.

I've sent my resume to so many places that I don't
know where to send it anymore.
