Chester, what point are you trying to make here?  Are you saying we can't
remember 9-11 because it's just a date?  People remember dates just as easily
as any other important piece of information.  I remember my sister's birthday
but not the day of the week she was born on.

People are going to remember 9-11 as the day things changed for this country,
and not as a day of the week or because it's like another number.  To do so
would trivialise the importance of this world-shattering event.

I think by making holidays fall on Mondays or Fridays to make three-day
weekends trivialise those holidays and make them lose their original meanings.
